Interview With Daniel Zopfi of Fueled By Fear

Fueled By Fear are a Swiss (Zurich) metal band that you'll be all about in you dig At The Gates, Soilwork and Sepultura. Here's a quick interview with my namesake.

If you had to introduce music to extraterrestrials using only five records, what records do you choose?

Forever and Counting- Hot Water Music, Against the grain- Bad Religion, Ten-Pearl Jam, Made me Do- The Haunted, Rage against the Machine self titled 1992 Album

Fueled By Fear play what i guess you'd call melodic death metal. When i hear you guys i'm reminded of At The Gates, The Haunted, early Soilwork and early In Flames. Who or what are your biggest influences?

In Flames, The Haunted, Sepultura, Heaven shall Burn, Killswitch Engage, and Pantera, cause we grow up with these bands

If you could play guitar in ANY band, who would it be and why?

Guess it would be Hot Water Music, love their sound and melodies

You guys just played Russia with In Flames. How was the experience as a whole? I imagine playing a show in Russia would be intense.

It was the second time we played in Russia, and both trips were amazing. We had the chance to play places we never dreamed of. The peoples are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is just great in Russia. Hope were going back soon.

What next for Fueled By Fear?

At the moment we’re writing a new album. And we looking forward to the recordings.
