I first met Laura many years ago (lost count to be honest) but i distinctly remember our first interaction. I went to the record store she worked and asked her if she had particular albums from Poison & Motley Crue. She looked at me with what can only be described as ridicule meets disdain meets sorrow for me. (it's not like i asked for the debut Kip Winger solo album, Air Supply or Meat Loaf, but whatever). Either way, they didn't have the albums i was after because they are obviously both great bands that are still popular to this day, but Laura and i managed to keep in touch...

Jawbox are undeniably one of my favourite (and in my opinion most underrated) bands from the 90's. Starting out in the hardcore/post-punk scene in Washington D.C in the late 80's they are the perfect mix of aggression, emotion and melody, and their song-writing was, to me, next level. Recently re-united, Kim, who happens to be one of the most genuinely nicest people i have met, has graciously agreed to answer some questions. If you don't know them, check them out.

Through the years, i have been lucky enough to meet some very cool people through my job. Some of them i get to call my mates, and for their friendship, i am eternally grateful. As often as i can, i am going to be asking my friends 5 questions about music, and how it's impacted their life, as their music has impacted mine.
